My Story - business woman, mom, snowboarder, wife, wine drinker, Artist, loudish, talk too much kind of person... ( you will either like me, or not I suppose ) . I bought this store in 1995 with my parents as partners. We were orginally on Main Street, then after 5 years moved to the Coop location. After being in the Coop for 19 years, we moved once again to Main Street into our very own location. ( Super proud moment - and the biulding - well, it has good bones and I think the ghosts love me a little, I know I love them back ) Orginally the store was called K.R. Country Casuals, and then later when we moved, we left out the K.R. Later... after many years, and just me owning the store, I changed the name to Mandy's . ( people called it that more than the real name, so it just transitioned ) This year I hit 25 years in business . It has been an interesting journey, and with so many ups and downs. 25 Years ago, I can not say I was a natural at business or anything really to do with running one. But with continued learning I think I run a great store. ( the school of hard knocks ). I genuinely think I have THE nicest customers. I would like to think of many as Friends, not just customers. I love being there daily and I love it when customers let me put together clothes for them and make them feel beautiful, or find the perfect thing for them. This year has been insane.Due to restrictions, March 14 we shut down, and then on May 14 we reopened. My heart is full, as we many people showed support for us through Social Media, purchased items that we delivered, online sales, curbside business, via one on one appointments, and watching our facebook lives. My world consists of my two fabulous kids ( best part of life - also I think hardest ), my work-a-holic husband who owns Rimbey TV & Electronics & other businesses as well, my Dad who lives close by, and my small tight group of friends. I very much look forward to year 26 and 27 and maybe being able to throw a party again with lots of friends, family and not worry about the two words "Social Distancing". #letskillcovid #killcovid I plan on continuing on with this journey, since it seems to be a great gig and its always full of laughter usually on a daily basis . I have a great team and overall ... what can I say... Life is good. We often donate to many in town projects, fundraisers, community events & every November the Rimbey Hospital & this December we are hoping to make a food bank donation!
Rimbey and Friends and area - you probably have me for about 10 more years, then I need to retire and someone young needs to take over...
I am beyond GRATEFUL !
Thanks you to the Team that surrounds me, my support system at the store, my family and my Customers.
